(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 29 - The body recovered in the
Bacchiglione river near Padua Thursday is that of Alberto
Pittarello, a 39-year-old man who three days ago stabbed to
death his wife, Sara Buratin, in nearby Bovolenta, Carabinieri
in Padua confirmed.
Formal recognition was made at the morgue by family members.
No traces of wounds were found on the body, according to
reports, and the hypothesis is that he died by drowning.
However, the autopsy will clarify the cause of death. (ANSA).
