(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 5 - A 79-year-old man died Tuesday morning
while engaged in renovation work on a detached building in the
historic centre of Terlizzi, in the province of Bari, local
sources said.
According to early information, the victim was carrying out the
role of site foreman and reportedly slipped and fell, falling a
few metres and ending in the bottom of the lift shaft.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene but could nothing to revive
him.
He is the latest victim in a seeming spate of fatal workplace
accidents in Italy. (ANSA).
