(ANSA) - ROME, APR 2 - The alleged victim of a gang rape in
Palermo last July has said she was threatened with a knife and
dragged into a home in the working class district of Ballarò by
a young man whom she has named in another probe and by the man's
other, in a bid to get her to retract her charges.
The unnamed young woman was allegedly raped by the seven youths
who are currently being held under arrest in jail in an
abandoned building site last summer.
The only minor in the alleged gang has already been sentenced to
eight years and eight months in jail in a fast-track trial.
The other six alleged rapists face a preliminary hearing in
their case on April 19.
She said she was threatened with the knife and dragged into the
Ballarò home while out walking with her boyfriend. (ANSA).
