Sewage released hydrogen sulphide cause of death say autopsies

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 9 - The lungs of the five workers who died of gas inhalation in the sewer network of Casteldaccia near Palermo on Monday were totally obstructed, autopsies on three of them showed Thursday.
    The autopsies confirmed initial suspicions that hydrogen sulphide, released by the fermentation of sewage, was the cause of death.
    Autopsies will be carried out on the bodies of the other two dead workers on Friday. (ANSA).
