(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 15 - The government on Wednesday set up a
panel on gender dysphoria to weigh, among other things, the
prescription of puberty-curbing drugs to minors as other
countries have done.
The panel of 29 experts was instituted by a decree from Health
Minister Orazio Schillaci and Family, Equal Opportunities and
Birth Rate Minister Eugenia Roccella.
"Some European States, who had for some time adopted the
aforementioned drug, having found major issues (with it), have
revised, wholly or in part, their protocols, especially those
concerning minors," said the decree. (ANSA).
