Woman whose body found under overpass was 'murdered'

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 30 - Investigators believe that a 34-year-old woman whose body was found on a road under an overpass in Vigonza, in the province of Padua, on Wednesday was murdered by her partner, sources said on Thursday.
    It had initially appeared that the woman had committed suicide by throwing herself from the overpass from a height of around 15 metres.
    But investigators now believe her 39-year partner pushed her off overpass and he was detained overnight.
    Italy has been hit by an alarming spate of femicides. (ANSA).
