(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 31 - Three young people, a young man and
two young women, have been missing since early Friday afternoon
due to the flooding of the Natisone river amid more extreme
weather in northern Italy, local sources said.
Earlier they had raised the alarm by phone as they were on a
small island and the water was rising fast due to the torrential
rain of the last few hours.
When rescuers arrived on the scene, they could not identify the
person who had raised the SOS.
A search is also underway with a fire brigade helicopter that
took off from Venice.
Carabinieri are also on the scene. (ANSA).
