(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 11 - Carabinieri police on Tuesday staged
a major operation linked to an investigation into alleged ties
between the 'Ndrangheta mafia and the political world of Reggio
Calabria, sources said.
The police executed warrants imposing various types of
restrictive measures on 14 suspects.
Three local politicians are among the people under
investigation, the sources said.
The probe is into alleged deals regarding the 2020 and 2021
regional elections in Calabria and the 2020 municipal elections
in Reggio Calabria, according to the sources. (ANSA).
