Trial asked for 8 over Fascist salutes, Nazi flag at funeral

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 11 - The Rome Public Prosecutor's Office On Tuesday requested the trial of eight far-right militants who displayed the Nazi flag and made the Fascist 'Roman' salute shouting 'present' during the funeral in Rome of far-right Forza Nuova woman militant Alessia Augello in the Italian capital on10 January 2022.
    Prosecutor Erminio Amelio alleges the violation of the Scelba and Mancino anti-Fascist laws on the grounds of apologia for fascism and incitement to discrimination, hatred or violence on racial, ethnic, national or religious grounds.
    The proceedings were adjourned to October. (ANSA).
