Prosecutors want Nedved, Arrivabene, Paratic sent to trial too

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 17 - Rome prosecutors on Wednesday requested that former Juventus Chairman Andrea Agnelli and several other ex-executives of the Turin giants, including Pavel Nedved, Maurizio Arrivabene and Fabio Paratici, be sent to trial for alleged financial felonies committed while they were in charge of the club.
    The case regards allegedly inflated values assigned to some transfer dealings in the club's balance sheets and irregularities in an agreement between the club and players for salary cuts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
    Juve announced at the start of the pandemic that players had agree to take a big pay cuts for four months to enable the club to make ends meet during the health emergency.
    The club, however, allegedly made secret payments to players, who only gave up one month's salary.
    In total there are about a dozen suspects, The charges against them include stock manipulation, obstruction of supervision and false accounting.
    Juve were docked 10 Serie A points in the 2022-23 season over the allegedly inflated values assigned to transfer moves.
