(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 18 - A 22-year-old British tourist has
drowned in Lake Como.
He had rented a boat with his 19-year-old girlfriend on
Wednesday to swim in the lake's area off Menaggio but was unable
to get back on the boat, probably after feeling unwell while
swimming, and drowned.
His 19-year-old girlfriend was rescued by another boat.
A total of four people have died in Italian lakes, including a
woman, Hanna Shabratska and her son Olekisy, Ukrainian nationals
who had been living in the Trentino town of Vallarsa over the
past two years, who drowned on Tuesday, and a seven-year-old
girl on Wednesday in a lake at a park in Caraglio, near Como.
