(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 7 - Premier Giorgia Meloni's cabinet on
Wednesday approved the so-called Omnibus package with measures
for a variety of sectors, including taxation, local institutions
and aid to displaced residents of the public housing 'Sail'
building in the Scampia district near Naples, well-informed
sources said.
The package also includes an increase - from 100,000 to 200,000
euros - of a flat tax for high earners moving back to Italy.
It is the government's last major piece of business before the
break for the summer holidays. (ANSA).
