(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 11 - A 33-year-old Colombian woman was
killed in Siena Saturday afternoon and her 26-year-old Colombian
partner was arrested Sunday, local sources said, in the latest
in a wave of femicides in Italy.
The companion of Ana Manyoma Casanova, who died yesterday
afternoon after being hit in the head by a 16-calibre rifle shot
while at home, was arrested in Siena for illegal possession of a
firearm and on suspicion of aggrvataed deliberate murder.
According to the investigators' reconstruction, the unnamed man
was holding the rifle 'while the two were alone in the bedroom'.
At that time 'other people were in the building in different
rooms', the prosecutor's office explained in a note.
The 26-year-old is also 'under investigation for ill-treatment
in the family, illegal possession of ammunition and possession
of soft drugs'. (ANSA).
