(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 2 - Italy's GDP grew by 0.2% in the second
quarter of the year compared to the previous trimester and by
0.
The estimate released by the national statistics bureau on July
30 was also of a 0.2% growth in the second trimester compared to
the first and a 0.9% growth from the second trimester in 2023.
ISTAT said that, compared to the previous quarter, final
consumption expenditure remained stable, gross fixed capital
formation increased by 0.3%, while imports and exports decreased
by 0.6% and 1.5% respectively.
With respect to the second quarter of 2023, final consumption
expenditure decreased by 0.1% and gross fixed capital formation
increased by 4%.
Imports decreased by 5.3%, and exports rose by 0.5%, the
national statistics bureau added.
The carry-over annual GDP growth for 2024 is equal to +0.6%,
ISTAT said. (ANSA).
