(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 24 - A 34-year-old woman was stabbed to
death by her ex-husband in Turin in the night between Monday and
Tuesday in front of the couple's children, investigative sources
said.
The victim of Tunisian origin, Roua Nabi, was stabbed in the
chest by her 48-year-old former husband, Ben Alaya Abdelkader,
who is also a Tunisian citizen, during a fight, according to the
sources.
She died shortly after being taken to the San Giovanni Bosco
Hospital.
The couple's teen daughter fled to a neighbour's apartment to
call for help while their 13-year-old son chased his father on
the street, asking passersby to help him stop the man.
Carabinieri police later found the 48-year-old near his
ex-wife's apartment and arrested him. The man is currently
detained at Turin's Lorusso e Cotugno prison.
Abdelkader had been wearing an electronic bracelet since this
summer, when a judge had imposed a restraining order after he
had abused his former partner, investigative sources said.
