(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 24 - Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday met
with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of
the 79th UN General Assembly.
During the talks, Italy's firm support for the legitimate
defence of Ukraine was stressed, with the objective of creating
the best conditions possible for a fair and long-lasting peace,
well-informed sources said.
Italy will continue to be on the frontlines in 2025 with the
organization in Rome of the Ukraine Recovery Conference and will
be alongside Ukraine for all the time necessary, it was said.
