Situation in Lebanon unchanged for Italians - Palazzo Chigi

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 28 - Premier Giorgia Meloni over the past few hours has been in contact over the phone with Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto and Cabinet Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano to discuss the latest developments of the crisis in Lebanon, Palazzo Chigi said in a note on Saturday.
    "While dramatic, the situation of our nationals, military personnel and civilians present on Lebanese territory does not show different profiles than those of the past few days", the note said. "Italy confirms, in line with the position held so far, the need for every diplomatic effort to restart channels of dialogue between the sides in conflict", said the note. (ANSA).
