Bad weather to hit Italy for four days

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 1 - A fresh bout of bad weather is set to hit Italy for four days starting on Tuesday with a new Atlantic storm front fed by cold air across the Centre and part of the North, said forecaster Lorenzo Tredici of the www.iLMeteo. it website.
    Tredici said Liguria and Tuscany will the first regions to be hit by rain on Tuesday, followed in the evening by the Pianura Padana area.
    Meanwhile the weather will remain sunny in the rest of the country with peaks in temperatures of 27-29°C in the South and 25°C in Rome.
    On Wednesday, the bad weather front will progress to other areas of central Italy and the North-East, in particular the Veneto region, while the weather will remain sunny in southern Italy with temperatures reaching peaks of 31°C in Bari, Catania and Siracusa.
    Intense rain and storms have also been forecast in the South on Thursday, with the exception of Calabria and Sicily, said Tredici.
