(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 2 - Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister
Antonio Tajani on Wednesday told the Lower House and Senate
foreign affairs and defence committees that "we are ready to
take any initiative to guarantee the security of our
compatriots".
"I have long urged all Italian citizens to leave Lebanon with
the commercial flights available.
"We are working to meet their requests through an increase in
connections, including charter flights and other means which we
are examining together with the defence minister", Guido
Crosetto, Tajani told the committees, noting that some 3,200
Italians are currently in Lebanon, mostly dual citizens. (ANSA).
