(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 8 - Three people have been placed under
investigation on manslaughter charges over the October 4 death
of Attilio Franzini, a 47-year-old workman who was run over and
killed by a train while working on the tracks near the San
Giorgio di Piano station close to Bologna, judicial sources said
Tuesday.
Prosecutors in Bologna are investigating the accident, which
involved an Intercity night train and Franzini, who worked for
Italian private group Salcef that deals with the construction
and maintenance of rail tracks.
