(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 18 - Tuscany Governor Eugenio Giani said
he will declare Friday a state of regional calamity and will
request a state of national calamity for some locations after
the Cornia river broke its banks near Livorno flooding the area
of Campiglia Marittima due to bad weather that has hit the
central Italian region.
Livorno and Siena were among areas in Tuscany pummelled by a
fresh bout of bad weather.
"The alarm is until 1 pm" Friday, Giani said, adding that bad
weather, with heavy rainfall, has been forecast in Tuscany
throughout the day but will be less intense in the afternoon.
