(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 24 - A 15-year-old boy was shot dead in
the night between Wednesday and Thursday in Naples.
The murder took place in the central Corso Umberto of the
southern port city.
Police flying squad are investigating the involvement of two
other minors who were injured in the shootout and treated at a
local hospital.
Security officials rushed to the scene overnight after being
alerted that a shootout was taking place in the central area and
discovered that the youth who was fatally injured was born in
2009, investigative sources said.
Naples Prefect Michele di Bari has summoned a meeting of the
provincial committee for public order and security on Thursday
afternoon to discuss the deadly incident. (ANSA).
