Nearly 4.8 mn pensioners get less than 1000 euros a month

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 24 - Nearly a third of Italy's pensioners, 29.5% or almost 4. 8 million people, got State pensions of under 1,000 euros a month in 2023, INPS said Thursday.
    They included 1.6 million people who received less than 500 euros a month.
    Women with a monthly pension under 1,000 euros were three million (36.3% of the total) with nearly one million among them (959,98) getting less than 500 euros a month (11.5% of the total), INPS said. (ANSA).
