(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 26 - One of the alleged ringleaders of a
gang that operated a huge activity of snooping on data bases
regarding business people around Italy was wiretapped saying
"here's how we screw the whole of Italy", judicial sources said
Saturday.
According to the words reported in the wiretaps of Nunzio
Samuele Calamucci, one of the alleged leaders of the criminal
association that allegedly created reports with confidential
data, "through the system of illicit dossier he devised, the
group would have been able to 'hold the country in its hands'",
said the Milan preliminary investigations judge, Fabrizio
Filice.
The precautionary custody order reports passages of a
conversation in which Calamucci said "all of Italy will be
screwed.
The alleged criminal association, the order continues, had "a
high-level network of contacts, made up of entrepreneurs,
managers of important industries, people from the world of
politics and entertainment, through which Equalize", an
investigation company at the centre of the investigation like
two others, "has progressively built up an important customer
base". (ANSA).
