(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 27 - Prosecutors investigating a hacking
gang that allegedly illegally farmed police databases are also
probing the sale of data abroad, judicial sources said Sunday.
They said the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office, which, together
with the national anti-mafia office DNA, is investigating the
case of the national strategic databases hacked by a group that
complied illegal dossiers, will also conduct in-depth
investigations into the alleged sale of sensitive data and
information abroad, to verify the possibility that they ended up
in other countries.
The sources said investigations will also involve IT
consultancy, ordered by the prosecutors, on the devices and PCs
seized from the six men arrested and the other 60 or so suspects
who are under investigation. (ANSA).
