(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 28 - Public transport was severely
disrupted in Rome on Monday amid a strike organized by local
transport workers' unions Usb and Orsas.
All subway lines A, B/B1, C and Termini-Centocelle were closed
and bus services were severely curtailed.
Meanwhile a 24-hour national strike has been planned on November
8 in public transport by labour unions Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl,
Uiltrasporti, Faisa Cisal and Ugl Fna.
The strike is organized to support the renewal of the contract
of public-transport workers. (ANSA).
