(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 7 - Cyber attacks around the world have risen 110% in the last five years with the healthcare system increasingly in the crosshairs, according to a report issued Thursday.
In the first half of 2024 there were 13% of the attacks carried out in the five years, "the highest number of incidents ever", said CLUSIT, the Italian Association for Information Security.
"(Healthcare) is the most affected sector worldwide, in Italy the incidents detected in the last months are comparable in number to those of 2023", the report said.
In general in the world, according to CLUSIT, in the first six months of 2024 cyber attacks have grown by 23% compared to the previous half-year, and there are nine every day. (ANSA).
