(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 7 - Two Egyptian men were convicted of the
murder of 19-year-old whose mutilated, headless body was found
in the sea near to the northeastern port of Santa Margherita
Ligure in July 2023 and they were given life jail terms.
The suspects, Kamel Abdelwahab and Abdelwahab Ahmed Gamal Kame,
accused each other of the crime during questioning.
The former admitted during the investigation that the victim,
fellow Egyptian Mahmoud Abdallah, was killed because he wanted
to report them for labour exploitation.
Abdallah worked for his killers in a barber shop in Sestri
Ponente. (ANSA).
