(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 20 - Italian navy officer Walter Biot got
a definitive sentence of 29 years for passing military secrets
to the Russians on Wednesday.
The judges of the first section of the supreme Court of
Cassation definitively sentenced the 61-year-old Biot to 29
years and 2 months.
The navy man was convicted of having given classified
information in exchange for money to an official of the Russian
embassy.
Biot got 20 years in the first-instance trial last January, and
appealed to the Cassation. (ANSA).
