(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 6 - Rightist students on Friday protested
against the start of Italy's first university course on queer
studies.
Militants from the far right Avanguardia Universitaria movement
staged a protest rally at Turin university against the course,
which covers themes of sexual orientation and gender, feminism,
and the intersectionality of different forms of discrimination.
"We are here - explained the leader of the movement - to
represent the silent majority of students who are tired of
seeing a crazy and out of touch ideology like gender theory
propagated.
"Unfortunately, our University is the spokesperson for the
demands of the most radical left and its ideologies". (ANSA).
