(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 10 - A 17-year-old has been arrested in
the Sicilian city of Siracusa for allegedly killing on Monday
night a 40-year-old man, a fruit vendor identified as Chistian
Regina, for futile reasons, investigative sources said Tuesday.
The arrest warrant was issued by the juvenile State attorney's
office in Catania.
According to investigators, Regina slapped the teen during a
fight over an unspecified futile motive.
The 17-year-old allegedly decided to seek revenge, went home to
get a knife and then stabbed Regina to death inside his
apartment building, investigative sources claimed.
The minor, who is allegedly the son of a leading member of a
local crime syndicate, fled after the murder but then turned
himself in to the police, the sources said. (ANSA).
