Termini McDonald's shuttered as 'hotbed of violence'

Lair of criminals, theatre of robberies and attacks says prefect

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 11 - The McDonald's at Rome's Termini Station has been shuttered for 10 days because it is a "lair of criminals and theatre of robberies, brawls and violent attacks," Tome Prefect Roberto Massucci ordered Wednesday.
He said seven episodes of violence had been reported at the fast-food joint in the last three weeks.
Crime has risen around Termini Station, and at other main city centres, amid a rise in the number of rough sleepers there, many of them migrants. (ANSA).
