(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 15 - A major rescue operation has been
launched for a woman speleologist, Ottavia Piana, who got
trapped in the Bueno Fonteno cave near Bergamo on Saturday.
The Alpine Rescue Service said the operation to pull the
32-year-old out of the cave could take days.
The alarm was raised by other cavers in the same party as the
woman.
Piana, a caving instructor, got stuck in the same cave last
year, spending two days in it with a broken leg at a depth of
150 metres in a spot not far from where she is now. (ANSA).
