Worker crushed to death at port of Genoa

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 18 - A 52-year-old worker early on Wednesday was crushed to death by a vehicle while he was checking a container at the port of Genoa Prà.
    The victim died instantly at around 3 am. Another worker who was driving the vehicle was injured in the accident.
    He was treated in hospital but is not in serious condition, health authorities said.
    Both men worked for the Compagnia Unica service.
    Workplace accident insurance agency INAIL said recently that 680 fatal work-related accidents were reported to it in the first eight months of 2024, a rise of 3.5% on the equivalent period in 2023. (ANSA).
