(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 7 - ISTAT said Tuesday that so-called
'shopping trolley' prices , including food, household and
personal care products, decreased on an annual basis in December
from +2.3% to +1.
Meanwhile, the price of products with high purchase frequency
increased from +1.6% in December 2023 to +1.8% last month, the
national statistics bureau said.
In 2024, ISTAT commented, the food sector registered "a quick
decrease in the dynamic of prices, down to +2.3% from +9.8%,
which however remained well above the inflation rate". (ANSA).
