(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 8 - The director of Italy's external
intelligence agency AISE Giovanni Caravelli personally travelled
to Tehran to pick up Italian journalist Cecilia Sala on
Wednesday, according to well-informed sources.
Caravelli is also on board the flight taking Sala back to Italy.
The 29-year-old reporter, who was released after her arrest in
Tehran on December 19, is scheduled to land at Rome's Ciampino
airport at around 15:30 Italian time. (ANSA).
