(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 21 - Eight far right Forza Nuova (FN, New
Force) militants were sent to trial Tuesday for allegedly making
Fascist salutes and waving swastikas at the January 2022 funeral
of an FN member.
The trial over the incident at Alessia Augello's funeral in a
church on the outskirts of Rome on January 10 three years ago
will open in the Italian capital on September 17.
The prosecutor, Erminio Amelio, is contesting their violation of
the Scelba and Mancino laws regarding the apology of fascism and
incitement to discrimination, hatred or violence for racial,
ethnic, national or religious reasons. (ANSA).
