(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 12 - The new investigation into the 2007 murder of 26-year-old Chiara Poggi is shocking, her mother Rita Poggi told State broadcaster Rai1's program 'La vita in diretta' on Wednesday.
News that a friend of her son Marco, 37-year-old Andrea Sempio, was being investigated was deeply upsetting for the victim's family, said Rita Poggi.
When asked whether she considered the possibility that her daughter's boyfriend Alberto Stasi, who is serving a 16-year jail term for her murder, is innocent she said that "sentences are valid for me and there have been many". (ANSA).
