Lionel Richie to perform in Italy in Jul

(ANSA) - Venice, February 15 - American singer-songwriter Lionel Richie will return to Italy for three dates in July as part of his 'All the hits' 2016 world tour, organisers said Monday.
    In addition to the two existing dates in Lucca and Rome, respectively on July 12 and 14, the Alabama-born musician will also perform in Piazzola sul Brenta on July 11. In Lucca and Piazzola Richie will perform in concert with eclectic American band Earth Wind & Fire. "I have always had a fantastic time in Italy and I can't wait to return," said Richie.
    "It will be so exciting to find myself once more in some of my favourite parts of the country and I am waiting impatiently for this splendid summer," he added.
