(ANSA) - Rome, July 13 - The latest archaeological
excavations at Carcer Tullianum, also known as the Mamertine
Prison, have brought to light the oldest 'Virgin of Mercy' ever
found in Rome.
The site will reopen to the public on July 21 after being
closed for a year.
