(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 4 - Silvio Berlusconi's 36-year-old
ex-girlfriend Francesca Pascale entered a civil union with
57-year-old singer-songwriter Paola Turci in Tuscany at the
weekend.
Showgirl Pascale, who was with the three-time ex-premier and
media magnate for seven years from 2013 to 2020, tied the knot
with Turci at a registry office Montalcino near Siena.
Civil unions between same-sex couples are legal in Italy but gay
marriage is not.
Rome-born Turci, who has been penning Italian hits since the
mid-1980s, then parties with Naples-born Pascale at a reception
in the castle of Velona, a fairy-tale site in the
heart of the romantic Val d'Orcia.
The couple, who said they had "found each other", received warm
wishes from the Italian political and cultural worlds.
They thanked well-wishers for their "sea of affection".
They said their age difference was not an issue for them.
