(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 15 - Bob Dylan will open the 50th edition
of the Umbria Jazz Festival on July 7, organizers said
Wednesday.
The legendary US musician and Nobel Literature Prize winner will
take to the stage at Perugia's Arena Santa Giuliana to present
his most recent album, Rough and Rowdy Ways, to the Italian
public, for the first time since its worldwide publication to
critical and fan acclaim in June 2020.
Other acts completing the line-up at the Arena Santa Giuliana
will include, on July 8, Stefano Bollani-Kyle Eastwood with
Eastwood Symphonic featuring the Umbria Jazz Orchestra, and on
July 9 Somi-Herbie Hancock.
Dylan, 81, will play five Italian dates this summer including
the Lucca Summer Festival on July 6.
The Duluth-born artist, who has been on a never-ending tour for
decades, will play mostly Rough And Rowdy Ways numbers in
Piazza Napoleone in the northern Tuscan city. (ANSA).
