(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 23 - TAP and ANSA have signed a
collaboration accord which envisages the possibility for the
partners of utilizing their respective news and information
services for editorial use and for developing joint commercial
offerings in support of the communication of institutions and
businesses in the respective countries.
The accord was signed in Tunis, in TAP's head office, in the
presence of the Italian Ambassador to Tunis Fabrizio Saggio, who
declared: "Today's accord between the two major national news
agencies, ANSA and TAP, further enriches the ongoing, all-round
cooperation between Italy and Tunisia".
TAP's President and Director-General Najeh Missaoui expressed
satisfaction with the accord that has been reached: "We are
happy to have signed today a new collaboration accord with ANSA,
with which we entertain historic relations. This accord will
enable us to further pursue and to strengthen the ties of
collaboration and friendship between the two parties and to
exchange experiences and know-how in the field of news agencies,
which is undergoing a very rapid development in light of
technological progress, which profoundly affects the practice of
modern journalism".
Managing Director Stefano De Alessandri thanked Ambassador
Saggio for the concrete support he furnished in helping reach
this accord and stressed that "the collaboration with TAP goes
back a long way, and the accord signed today therefore
constitutes the confirmation and renewal of a 'historic'
partnership for ANSA. This accord, as well as the availability
of editorial content, offers important starting points and
opportunities for collaboration on other fronts too, such as for
example the availability of journalistic and technological
know-how in an editorial setting". (ANSA).
