Expo 2030: Unexpected support for Rome says Massolo

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 11 - Giampiero Massolo, president of the committee promoting Rome's candidacy for Expo 2030, said the bid was counting on unexpected support as he arrived at Palais Brogniart in Paris for the scientific forum on the Rome dossier.
    "We are here to present the theme of Rome Expo 2030 again, to involve the delegates, and we are confident again, we are still counting on the strength of our project. We are counting on the unexpected support that has come to us in the meantime from very different countries," he said.
    Italy has been campaigning strongly for Rome's bid for the universal exposition in 2030. (ANSA).
