(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - The 2024 Sanremo Song Festival made a
strong start on its opening night on Tuesday, attracting an
average of 10.561 million viewers, 65.
That was slightly lower than the opening night last year in
terms of the absolute number of viewers, down from 10.758
million in 2023, but the audience share was higher than the
62.5% registered last year.
The first section of the opening night attracted 15.075 million
viewers, 64.3% of the share, and the second part got 6.527
million, 66.9%.
That compares to 14.16 million for the first part of the opening
night last year, 61.7% of the share, and 6.296 million, 64.4%,
in the second.
Artistic director Amadeus is presenting the festival for the
fifth time.
