(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 11 - Sanremo Song Festival Presenter and
Artistic Director Amadeus reiterated on Sunday that he will not
be back next year after his fifth stint in charge of the
much-loved event was a success.
Amadeus had already said as much but on Sunday State broadcaster
Rai's CEO Roberto Sergio said he would talk about him continuing
at the festival along with comedian Fiorelllo in a couple of
weeks.
"Some will remember that back in May I said this would be my
last festival, but no one believed it," Amadeus told he
post-festival press conference.
"I really feel that I have to stop.
"I am grateful that there is a desire for us to continue, but I
feel that we must stop and focus on other things.
"This does not mean that I'm going to be a hermit.
"But I need to find other ideas, other challenges". (ANSA).
