Fashion designer Junko Koshino is Italy Pavilion Ambassador

(ANSA) - ROME, APR 3 - World famous designer and fashion designer Junko Koshino, who is also a Senior Advisor of Expo 2025 Osaka and was one of the first Japanese figures to have accepted the role, is part of the team of 'Ambassadors' of the Italy Pavilion along with the industrial designer Ken Okuyama, the conductor Tomomi Nishimoto, the product designer Toshiyuki Kita, the sculptor Susumu Shingu and the entrepreneur and arts patron Yuzo Yagi, whom we have to thank for the restoration of Rome's Pyramid of Gaius Cestius.
    "I would like to make my contribution to further deepening the cultural exchange between Italy and Japan through fashion and design," said Junko Koshino.
    Ambassador Mario Vattani, the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, said that: "Junko Koshino's visionary talent and profound artistic sensitivity fit perfectly with the values ;;that the Italy Pavilion wishes to convey at Expo 2025 Osaka.
    "By collaborating with Koshino, we draw on a unique creative vision, capable of skillfully blending modernity and tradition," he said.
    Junko Koshino had a fundamental role in putting Japanese fashion on the global scene.
    She presented her collections at Paris Fashion Week for 22 years from 1978.
    Her talent also earned her many awards in Italy and gave life to some memorable creations, including costumes for Puccini's Madama Butterfly. (ANSA).
