Carla Bruni enchants Spoleto

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 6 - Italian-French singer-songwriter Carla Bruni enchanted the Spoleto Festival with an acoustic set on Friday night.
    The 56-year-old black-clad former model and wife of ex French president Nicolas Sarkozy, wearing tight-fitting black leather trousers and a black silk blouse, had no special effects and just a three-piece band of guitar, bass and piano to accompany her in a musical trip through her hits and covers.
    "At long last I'm singing in Italy," she said at the start of the first ever Italian leg of a European tour that will also take in Milan before traveling to Spain, Finland and Greece.
    Sarkozy was in the front row in Spoleto's Roman amphitheatre and led the standing ovation at the end of the concert.
    "He really knows how to keep my nerves at bay," she said.
