(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 21 - The first two episodes of the fourth
season of the acclaimed TV adaptation of Elena Ferrante's cult
My Brilliant Friend quartet of Neapolitan novels have had a
sneak preview at New York's Tribeca Film Festival, with an
all-new cast.
For the occasion, the fest founded by Robert De Niro was hosted
by the MoMa.
The season will be shown on HBO Max in America in 10 weekly
episodes directed by Laura Bispuri from September 9, while in
Italy it will arrive on November 11 on Rai1.
It is based on Story of the Lost Child, the fourth and last
novel in the series that has wowed readers and critics the world
over and was recently voted the book of the century by the New
York Times.
"It's been a long journey," said show-runner Saverio Costanzo,
director of most of the series.
"But everything must end and she (Ferrante) sadly didn't write a
fifth book". (ANSA).
