(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 2 - Spanish director Pedro Almodovar
blasted anti-migrant racists and deniers of the climate crisis
as he presented his latest film, The Room Next Door, starring
Tilda Swinton, Julianne Moore and John Turturro, at the 81st
Venice Film Festival on Monday.
"I'm against racists, the haters who don't want immigration and
stop children with no parents from crossing our borders by
sending Navy ships," Almodovar said.
"I find this stupid and unfair, but I'm also against climate
change deniers.
In 'The Room Next Door' there is a dying woman, but she's a
world that is dying just as much.
"We must say 'enough' to the climate change deniers, because we
are in danger and may soon be in much greater danger". (ANSA).
